Rania graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in environmental science with a concentration in environmental policy. She currently works as a Policy Assistant in the Office of the Governor. Rania has previously worked as a Lab/Outreach Assistant at NC State’s Horticulture Department, an Environmental Science Summer Camp counselor at Duke University and interned at, Don't Waste Durham, a non-profit aimed at reducing plastic waste. She believes that environmental issues are one of the most important issues we face today as well as uniquely universal. Her main areas of interest are environmental justice, plastic pollution, and food waste.
