Hometown Strong is partnering with the NC Outdoor Heritage Advisory Council to put on a webinar next week highlighting available funding for schools to build outdoor classrooms.
Outdoor classrooms can not only provide safer spaces for students to learn during COVID-19, but also have been shown to increase test scores and classroom engagement. We wanted to make sure you’re aware of the program, and encourage you to let your schools know of this opportunity as well.
Information on the webinar is below. Thank you for your help in spreading the word about this resource for schools!
Join Hometown Strong and the NC Outdoor Heritage Advisory Council for a webinar on Wednesday, October 14 at 2pm to learn more about the benefits of outdoor learning, design considerations, and learn about grant opportunities – including the NC Schools Go Outside (GO) Grant, which provides up to $15,000/class/school for the construction of outdoor classrooms (dollar must be used and projects completed by December 30, 2020).
