Description

General Program Overview

R.D. Graham Electric, the North Carolina Association of Electrical Contractors, the North Carolina Masonry Contractors Association, the Southeastern Carpenters Regional Council, and Davidson-Davie Community College are pleased to offer a coordinated 2022 Virtual Students@Work Skilled Trades Spotlight Day on March 17 for middle school students from throughout North Carolina. The event will feature five live 40-minute sessions that will be held from 8:40am – 2:20pm with a break for lunch from 11:30am - 12:30pm.

Each session will expose students to careers in skilled trades that can be found throughout North Carolina. Students are welcome to participate in as many sessions as they would like. While we would like for as many students as possible to benefit from the live presentations, a recording of the sessions will be available after March 17 so that registered students can go back and watch them later.

The topics will include the following.

  • Electricians – R.D. Graham Electric and North Carolina Association of Electrical Contractors
  • Masonry - North Carolina Masonry Contractors Association
  • Carpentry - Southeastern Carpenters Regional Council
  • HVAC - Davidson-Davie Community College

Each virtual session is listed as a separate resource within Navigator. To select specific sessions, find each of the session providers listed above among the Students@Work resources and choose the sessions individually that you would like for your students to have the option of attending. You will be contacted with further instructions after you register.
